Trust meeting of Karunalaya home for the Aged and Old - Brhamavar
Karunalaya, the home for the aged at Brahmavar, is founded by the secular Franciscan Order of Karnataka state in the land donated for this purpose by Mr. Joseph D’Almeida of Balakudru village, Sasthan Parish. The land belongs to The Mangalore Capuchin Friars Society, which is registered society under the Karnataka Society’s registration Act 1960. The members of the secular Franciscan Order of Karnataka state have taken over the responsibility of maintaining the institute financially and the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate (FSI) looks after the administration of Karunalaya home for the aged.

The Karunalya Trust meeting was held on 13th October 2013, at 10.00 a.m. at Karunlaya, presided over by the president of the trust Rev. Fr. Joseph Dolphy Pais, former president Rev. Fr. Vincent G. Furtado; Fr. Robin Victor D’souza, secretary and Director of Karunalya Sr. Jaya, Zonal spiritual assistant Fr. Prakash Lobo along with all the zonal presidents of SFO. Many of the important points were discussed during the meeting and after the meeting there was a short interaction between the inmates hearing their experiences at Karunalya. The Holy Trinity Province appreciates very much the service rendered by the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate (FSI) at Karunalaya.
