Independence Day –
Saccidandna On August 15, the Fraternity of Saccidanadna along with the faithful
celebrated the 68th Year of our Independence Day and also the Assumption to
Heaven of the Virgin Mary. The Holy Eucharist was at 7. A.M. with Rev. Fr.
Andrew Anil Sequeira as the main celebrant, who preached a meaningful homily
on this occasion. After the Holy Eucharist, the faithful gathered in front
of the house to hoist the flag. Rev. Fr. Joseph Dolphy Pais was requested to
hoist the flag. On this occasion Br. Alden & Br. Bolar, theology brothers
from Darshan Institute of Theology, Kengeri, sang a Patriotic song. Wishing
you one and all Happy Independence Day.
Let the celebrations of Independence Day and the Assumption of our Blessed
Mother be, wake-up calls for us to rouse ourselves from our slumber and do
something tangible to right the wrongs.
