72nd INDEPENDENCE DAY : SNEHA JYOTHI VIDYALAYA POTHNAL
Sneha Jyothi Vidyalaya Pothnal celebrated Independence Day with great fervor on 15th August 2018 in the presence of staff, student and management. The chief guests and other dignitaries’ were Rev.Fr.Willian prabhu (Director St. Clare Vihar, Pothnal). Rev. Brothers (St. Clare Post novitiate house) Rev.Fr.Thomas (Co-pastor, St Clare Parish) Mr.Solomon (PTA President S.D.M.C.) Sr.Martha (Anugraha boarding Incharge), C.H. Srinivas, Dr. Prashanth, Mr.Sujith dolly, Mr.Basavaraj kesari, Mr. Ragunath Singh. The gamut of celebration activities held on the campus consisted of special welcoming ceremony, Flag waving and Pooja ceremony, the dynamic march past and a rainbow of cultural activities proposed under the stewardship of the staff and management the entire school assembled at the ground at sharp 8:45 am, Meanwhile the chief guests were escorted to the stage with the school band. The president Rev.Fr.william Prabhu hoisted the Tri color flag. The national anthem followed by the beautiful march past echoed in the campus of Sneha Jyothi Vidyalaya. The four houses Blue, Green, Indigo and Yellow marched forward to the beats of drum while the Dignitaries and Headmaster presided over it. Very soon the colorful cultural program was landed, Students from different classes presented speeches in English, Hindi, and Kannada on the occasion of Independence Day. Various cultural activities such as dance, Fancy dress show, Mime, and other stunts like Pyramid, Karate show, by the students mesmerized one and all. Keeping in view that Independence day could be the best occasion for prize distribution to the winners of the “Prathiba karanji” singing and drawing competition and sports matches, the prize were given away to the winners by the chief guests towards the end the president Rev.Fr.William Prabhu shared his precious thoughts on the occasion he reminded the parents about important of education and also wished the student, staff and management of the school good luck for the upcoming events. Eventually, The Independence day took a wind up by singing the school anthem followed by sweet distribution.
